DUBAI | Water, between dream and reality.

For many observers, Dubai is increasingly a synonym of luxury, opulence and ostentation. But there is another side of the metropolis that not everybody knows. It’s enough to venture a few kilometres outside the city that has sprouted gardens and skyscrapers to find oneself lost in a sea of sand dunes and meet men and women who live in very harsh conditions. The real challenge is bringing water to them, too, restoring hope and giving rise to important economic activity.
